With DEEP WATER, the Lucerne musician Marco Wolf will release his fourth album and his first album with solo piano works on November 27, 2020.

Calm waters run deep. The saying aptly captures the essence of Marco Wolf's album DEEP WATER. The calm, sensually flowing original compositions were created over the past six months during the corona crisis and lockdown. In the vortex of emotions, the piano sounds playfully dance on the glittering surface of the water, move to the rhythm of waves blown by the wind and plunge into the melancholy depths of the untouched ocean floor.

 

Touching and vulnerable piano compositions
Memories of the contemplative sound paintings by the Italian pianist Ludovico Einaudi are awakened. Like him, Marco Wolf uses his music to create sensitive scenes in which the audience can lose and find themselves again. All the power lies in simplicity: compositions such as INTO THE LIGHT, written for Wolf's mother who died in 2017, or SACRED LIFE unfold their touching effect through haunting, repetitive sound melodies.

 

There is always a feeling of vulnerability, but also hope - “a wake-up call for everyone who hears with the heart”, as Marco Wolf describes it.
